Har Ki Dun Trek- 6 Nights/7 Days

Har ki Dun at a height of 11700ft, is a snow peaked paradise for winter fanatics. With one side covered with alpine meadows and on the other pine forests. This trek is for both beginners and experienced trekkers.

Har ki Dun is not only a trek with picturesque views, but it is also rich in cultural and mythological significance. Many locals has a belief that the land belongs to Duryodhana from the epic Mahabharata. The temple even exists today.

This is one of the oldest Himalayan trekking trails. The name Har ki dun means “Valley of Gods”

Day 1: Drive from Dehradun to Sankri Village(198 kms/8 hrs)

We will assemble at the pick up point at 6.30 AM.
Drive towards Sankri village which will be our base camp for the Har Ki Dun Trek.
Once we reach Sankri village, we will check in to our Homestay. Rest of the day is at leisure and travellers can visit local market.
Dinner will be served at the Homestay.

Day 2: Drive from Sankri to Taluka(12 kms/1 hr), Trek to Puani Garaat(10 Kms/4 hrs)

After breakfast, we will drive towards Taluka which is the starting point of the trek
Once we reach Taluka, we will start our trel towards Puani Garaat. The trail consists of slanting slopes and thick forests.
We will experience the sunset on reaching our campsite

Day 3: Trek from Puani Garaat to Kalkatiyadhar(8 kms/4 hrs)

Once we have our breakfast, we will start our trek to har Ki Dun valley
We will be passing through osla village. We will also be crossing the bridge over the Supin river. This trail takes us to a ridge named Kalkatiyadhar, from where we get our first view of Har ki Dun valley
Dinner in camps at Kalkatiyadhar.

Day 4: Trek from Kalkatiyadhar to Har ki Dun and Back to Kalkatiyadhar(14 kms/7 hrs)

Today we will start our trek towards Har Ki Dun.
The trail starts from green meadows and also see some beautiful waterfalls.
Once we reach Har ki Dun, we will have some beautiful moments here, witnessing some magical landscapes
Then we will start returning to Kalkatiyadhar

Day 5: Trek from Kalkatiyadhar to Puani Garant via Seema(8 kms/4 hrs)

After early morning tea, we will start our trek to Puani Garant Campsite
Upon reaching the campsite, you can enjoy rest of the day
Dinner and stay at the camps

Day 6: Trek from Puani Garant to Taluka | Drive to Sankri from Taluka(12 kms/1 hr drive)

Today our day will start with breakfast and early morning tea. Then we will start proceeding some trails downwards
Once we reach Taluka we will drive toward Sankri village.
Check in to our homestay and enjoy rest of the day

Day 7: Drive from Sankri to Dehradun(198kms/8 hrs)

After breakfast we will drive down to Dehradun taking some beautiful memories of the trek
We will reach in the evening
