CHOPTA CHANDRASHILA TUNGNATH TREK

Chopta trek is a beautiful valley during which you can experience lush green meadows which are surrounded by pine and oak trees. This is one of the favourite spot for trekkers and campers. Extremely budget and pocket friendly which has too much to offer.

The best time to visit is from April to November as Chopta receives heavy snowfall. Tungnath and Chandrashila are snow covered between December to March. To experience the clear views of the Himalayan Peaks, best time is between September to November. The temperature drops down below zero as the region is covered by snow.

This trek has so much to offer like snow peak mountains of Himalayas. Not a very difficult trek, so people who are beginners can join this trek.

Tungnath is one of the highest Shiva Temples in the world. At an elevation of 3680m and is located in the mountain range of Tungnath in the Rudraprayag in Uttarakhand.

Day 1: Reach Chopta

At 10.00 Pm, we will start our bus(AC) ride from Delhi to Rishikesh .
Early morning you will meet our team in Rishikesh, where we will transfer to a private vehicle after breakfast
From here we will start our journey towards Chopta which is at a height of 8790ft. We will be passing by Devprayag, Rudraprayag and Ukimath on the way.
We will have a lunch break at Srinagar, which is one of the most beautiful spots of the region.
We will reach around 5 pm to our campsite at Baniya Kund.
Relax in the evening with bon fire and a starry night with delicious dinner

Day 2: Chopta to Tungnath and back to Chopta

After breakfast, we will start our trek from Chopta to Tungnath. Distance is 5 kms.
Once we reach Tungnath, we can explore the famous Tungnath temple which is approx. 1000 years old.
As you trek to Chandrashila which is at a height of more than 12000ft, we will experience Himalayan Birds with gigantic pine, maple and oak trees in the surrounding areas.
Once we spend our time at the summit, we come back to Chopta where we will stay in the camps.
