In this trek you will experience  magic of heavenly lakes embracing the Himalayas. Every moment you will experience the magic of the beautiful Kashmir during this trek.

Huge mountains, Green forests, spring colored blooms and lakes makes this trek one of its kind.

Kashmir Great Lake trek falls under moderate-difficult level, because of which the trekkers are advised to come prepared.

The itinerary starts from the drive from Srinagar to Sonmarg which is at an altitude of 7800ft.

Shitkadi Village is the base camp for the Kashmir great Lakes trek

Day 1: Srinagar Arrival | Drive to Sonamarg(90 Kms/4 hrs)

  • You all will have to assemble at the Tourist Reception Centre in Srinagar at 11 AM.
  • After that we will start our drive to Sonamarg, where Shitkari village will be our base camp for this trek.

Day 2: Trek to Nichnai via Shekdur(11kms/8 hrs)

  • After breakfast, today we will start our trek towards Nichnai which will be our campsite.
  • During the trek you will see Maple and pine trees throughout the trail. Streams of water flow, lush green peaks surrounded by Bhoj trees will make your trek very special.
  • We will reach our campsite and enjoy dinner at night.

Day 3: Nichnai to Vishansar lake via Nichnai Pass(12 kms/7 hrs)

  • We will get up early today and head towards the scenic Vishansar Lake after breakfast. The lake has a great importance for Kashmir Pandits and its surrounding forests and landscapes filled with small glaciers makes it fascinating spot.
  • Nichnai Pass lies between two peaks that will be standing tall at the backdrop of our campsite. As you reach the pass, you will also have a perfect view of the Sonamarg valley.
  • Today we will also experience some beautiful waterfalls cascading from mountain cliffs. We will set up our camp site with the Vishansar lake in the backdrop.
  • Rest of the day is at your leisure and you can indulge yourself in some fun activities. Dinner and stay at the campsite.

Day 4: Buffer Day

  • As we are aware about the weather near Kashmir Lake is very unpredictable, we have taken a buffer day in this trek.
  • If the weather is clear, we will move towards Gangbal Camp site.

Day 5: Vishansar Lake to Gadsar via Gadsar Pass(14 kms/8 hrs)

  • Kishansar Lake is just above Vishansar Lake. Today we will experience stunning landscapes of lush green meadows and crystal blue lakes. Soon, we will see the ridge that is Gadsar Pass coming into view. After trekking a lilt longer, we will see a small lake -Yamsar Lake. This lake has a mythological importance associated with the God of Death, Yama in Hinduism.
  • Dinner and stay at the campsite

Day 6: Gadsar To Satsar(12 Kms/6 Hrs)

  • After breakfast and tea, we will start our trek towards Satsar camp which is at an altitude of 12000ft and is a collection of seven lakes
  • Walking through lush green forests with rivers and valleys below you will make your trekking experience magical.
  • We will cross the ridge, which is the gateway to Satsar beyond which lies the 3rd line of defense from the LOC.
  • Dinner and stay at the campsite

Day 7: Satsar to Gangabal twin lakes(11 kms/6 hrs)

  • After breakfast, we will start moving towards Nundkol. Today you will experience many ascends and descends.
  • This trail is full of surprises, with countless lakes and ridges. Today we will also see the biggest lake among all of these i.e Gangabal.
  • We will set up our campsite at Nundkol which is not very far from here.
  • Stay and dinner at the campsite

Day 8: Gangabal to Naranag(11kms/6 hrs) | Drive to Srinagar

  • Today after breakfast we will start our trek towards Naranag, which is at a height of 8500ft.
  • Upon reaching Naranag, we will start our drive to Srinagar
  • End of Tour

  • 100% of the trip/trek cost to be paid 7 days before the trip departure date

  • Another 25% to be paid 30 days before the departure date
